That dude with the glasses is, in my head, distantly related to both Stiggs and to Derec’s dad. Long lost cousin. That’s secret canon and you can all take it and run with it. I think I accidentally took a bit of inspiration from Quigley of Unsounded (which is a comic you should be reading, by the way; Ashley Cope makes me despair in good ways and I’ve been following he work and despairing happily over it since high school so you know it’s a long-term manageable sort of despair).
