We keep the heat off or really low as long as we can to save a few bucks during the winter (yes, in Canada – but it’s the “warm” part of Canada down here so it only mostly hovers around 2°C all winter and living in a chilly house is doable). I have become -extremely- fond of thick blankets, heavy sweaters, leggings under jeans, and good slippers with good socks.
